Our vision
SUMOT was founded in Grenoble by two engineers passionate about electric mobility and the expertise of a cutting-edge research laboratory.
Together, we aim to contribute to the transformation of powertrain systems and the emergence of more efficient solutions better suited to current industrial and environmental challenges.
Our philosophy is based on a simple yet powerful idea: doing better with less. We believe that progress doesn’t always require striving for “more”—more critical materials, more volume, more complexity. By rethinking how energy flows and is exchanged within systems, we are convinced that it becomes possible to unlock untapped potential in existing technologies.
We believe that the overall optimization of systems surpasses the sum of the individual optimums of their components. The greatest performance levers are created through the synergy between electronics, the motor, and the control system.
This “system” vision guides our engineering as well as our way of working: we prioritize collective intelligence, transdisciplinarity, and creativity to meet technical challenges. In collaboration with our industrial partners, we offer high-performance solutions that best meet their needs.
